“Horror Writers Group Looking for Members”

The Old Bridge Public Library is looking to form a Horror Writer’s Group. Writers would be encouraged to bring in and read to the group original stories. If you don’t like reading aloud, you may pass out manuscripts. We will also be discussing publishing tips and writing contests. An open forum will take place where horror in the movies, on TV and graphic novels and comics will be discussed. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of writing or publishing experience. Bias in the Media, Thursday, April 15, at 1:00 p.m.

The Old Bridge Public Library will present a lecture on the topic of bias in the news media by media critic Charles Wiley. Graduate of New York University, Wiley’s freelance articles have appeared in numerous publications including the New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek and Time. A well known radio and TV talk show personality and commentator, he has appeared on hundreds of network and local programs throughout the country – including many times on CNN Crossfire and C-SPAN. Only the Shadow Knows, Saturday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m.

Old Time radio program collector will present a program of one of the all time favorite radio broadcasts, The Shadow. Henry will play excerpts from the programs, and will discuss the show and its enduring popularity

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Library's "Musical Weekend." Both the B.D. Lenz Trio and the Ambassador String Quartet played to appreciative audiences.

If you missed the B.D. Lenz concert, check out his music online on the Garageband web site or on his own home page.

The Library offered special "quiet areas" over the weekend for those looking for a place away from the music to study. When the Library is hosting a musical event, as a staff member where the "quiet area" is on that particular day.
