Non Fiction Book Discussion Group

On Tuesday evening, August 30th at 7:30 p.m., the Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group will be reading Shadow Divers by Robert Kurson:

This superlative journalistic narrative tells of John Chatterton and Rich Kohler, two deep-sea wreck divers who in 1991 dove to a mysterious wreck lying at the perilous depth of 230 feet, off the coast of New Jersey. Both had a philosophy of excelling and pushing themselves to the limit; both needed all their philosophy and fitness to proceed once they had identified the wreck as a WWII U-boat.

Do you read Spanish, Russian or Gujarati? Can you donate books? Did you know that the Library has a foreign language collection of books in the Russian and Gujarat languages? These collections grow a little bit every year and are very popular with our non-English speaking residents. More and more, we hear requests to add titles in the Spanish language.

Demographically, Spanish is the foreign language that is spoken more frequently and we’d like to establish a permanent collection of materials in the Spanish language. If you have books in any of these languages, please consider donating them to the Library. Call Margie Cyr at 732-721-5600 extension 5014, or e-mail if you can help out.
