On Wednesday, June 6 the Central Library will host a Student Art Reception at 6:00 p.m. Students from the Carl Sandburg Middle School's 8th Grade Challenge Class will present their latest artwork to the community in the Central Library's Art Gallery. Students in the Challenge Class mix creativity, problem-solving and experimental learning under the tutleage of teacher Paula Eisen. The Old Bridge Library will hold a Teen Career Day on Saturday, May 19. All teenagers are welcome to attend. The registration period will run from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and then teens will meet professionals from various career fields from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Teens will get a chance to ask questions and get answers from professionals in the fields of law enforcement, health & fitness, medicine, finance, communications and many more. This event is being co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge, Old Bridge/Sayreville Rotary Club, and the Interact Club of Old Bridge High School. This Saturday at 1:30 p.m., the Library will host a program from Angelo Saverino, author of Heart of the Order, which tells the story of Saverino's life as a baseball agent. The book is also a human interest story, it is a book about faith, about hope and about over coming obstacles.

Saverino gives a first hand account of life as a professional sports agent. He tells what really happens in the clubhouse, behind closed doors. The story is told with a no holds barred approach, bringing the reader into a world few people ever get to visit.
