The Suburban newsweekly has a nice article about the Old Bridge Star competition held at the Library:
"It was just like the TV program," said Theresa Wordlemann, teen librarian. "We started with tryouts, then one elimination, followed by the big competition. The judges tried to provide input and advice for the teens, but nothing in comparison to Simon Cowell."

The Old Bridge Library is hosting an exhibit from Parlin based photographer Adoree Nielsen entitled Abandoned Marlboro. The exhibit will run from October 3 – November 1 in the Library’s Garden Area.
Neilsen states "The buildings and grounds at the former Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital have been left to decay. Surrounded by controversy as to what will become of the now 411 acres, Adoree Nielsen hopes to somehow preserve in photographs, the dark beauty of this historical landmark, which soon may be slated for destruction."
The Library will host a Meet the Artist presentation on October 20 at 1:30 p.m. Ms. Neilsen will show more examples and speak about her work. For more information, or to register for the Meet the Artist program, please call the Adult Information Desk, (732) 721-5600 ext. 5033.
