His songs and photos depict the slaves’ flight to freedom via the Underground Railroad. Briz has performed on a National Tour and has entertained at numerous schools and public libraries. This is a wonderful program designed for the entire family. His material is based on the Slave Narratives conducted by our government in the 1930’s. Beautiful black and white photos provided by the Library of Congress enhance the experience. Briz’s songs portray the hardships that slaves endured while trying to gain their freedom.
