The Old Bridge Public Library has expanded its download collection with the addition of E-Books. From the comfort of home, card holders can browse the collection, check out, and download E-Books and more anytime, anywhere. E-Books can be read on a PC or Mac using free reader software called AdobeDigital Editions. E-Books can also be transferred to popular e-reading devices like the Sony Reader and the Barnes & Noble nook (but not the Amazon Kindle.) Many E-Books feature reflowable text which allows a user to resize the text and alter the display to fit any screen size. Old Bridge Public Library's opening collection features many titles including bestsellers by James Patterson. To check out E-Books users need a valid library card, computer, and Internet connection. Old Bridge Public Library partners with OverDrive, Inc., a global leader in digital media services, to offer the download service.
