Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. The Epidemic of Our Time: How to Prevent, Control, or Eliminate Type II Diabetes & Metabolic Syndrome. Whether you are newly diagnosed with diabetes, have had it for years or are trying to prevent it, this workshop is for you. Pre-diabetes is a condition in which individuals have blood sugar (A1C) levels higher than normal but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. Studies have shown that people with pre-diabetes who lose weight & increase their physical activity can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes and in some cases return their blood glucose levels to normal. This seminar will focus on the diet and lifestyle changes that may help you prevent the onset of diabetes or manage the condition with greater success. 1 in 5 Americans are at risk of developing diabetes 1 in 3 children born in the US today are expected to develop it. Speaker: Dr. Keith Schnappauf The Foundation for Wellness Professionals (National Non-Profit Foundation)
