Maria Grace from the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey presented a program about conserving and protecting New Jersey's endangered and threatened wildlife. It’s amazing that New Jersey, for all of its development, congestion and sprawling land use, is a haven for over 70 species of wildlife considered endangered or threatened under federal or state guidelines.

Teens proudly display their blankets made for donation to Project Linus. The goal of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

Don't miss tonight's presentation on Global Warming by Tina Weishaus at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Library's Large Meeting Room. She has been trained by Al Gore's The Climate Project to give a slide show presentation based on An Inconvenient Truth and is currently speaking to dozens of organizations around the Central Jersey area on the subject of global warming. Tina will show the slide show and then talk about solutions at the individual, local, national and international level with specific emphasis on what is going on in New Jersey regarding legislation and political action.
