Mark Your Calendar!

On Friday, August 5, The Old Bridge Public Library will be presenting two very special programs...

Theatre at the Library: At 1:30 p.m., The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents Mohere's Tartuffe, a witty and biting comic masterpiece.

A taste of African Dance: At 6:30 p.m., West African dance and drums presented by Audrey Davis, who has performed at Julliard and the PNC Bank Arts Center.

Monday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. The Library's Evening Craft Club meets at 6:30 p.m. This fun and social group welcomes new members and the curious.

Tuesday July 26 at 1:30 p.m. The summer film series continues with a screening of Seven Years in Tibet. Starring Brad Pitt, this is true story of Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountain climber who became friends with the Dalai Lama at the time of China's takeover of Tibet.

Wednesday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m. Cholesterol Control with Dr. Richard Therkelsen. He is presenting this program as a public service. Join him to learn how to live a happier, healthier, stress free life.

Thursday, July 28 The Library's Afternoon Craft Club meets at 1:30 p.m. This fun and social group welcomes new members and the curious.

Friday July 29th at 1:30 p.m. The Senior Friday Movie will be The Adjustment Bureau. Starring Matt Damon, the affair between a politician and a ballerina is affected by mysterious forces keeping the lovers apart.

Old Bridge Library Adds Online Language Learning with Mango Languages

The Old Bridge Public Library has recently added Mango Languages, a major language learning service, to its online electronic resources for Library patrons. Ten popular languages are included via online instruction. The new language service from Mango Languages includes language instruction in the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese; Chinese (Mandarin); Japanese; French; German; Greek; Italian; Portuguese; Spanish; and, Russian. Instruction is also available in ESL (English as a Second Language) Brazilian Portuguese, ESL Polish, and ESL Spanish.

Summer Reading At The Old Bridge Library! Come in or print out from the web site a Novel Destinations Passport. Complete a review of every book you read or listen to this summer, and then when your passport is complete, turn it it for a chance to win a prize. Drawings will be held each week, all entries not drawn for the weekly prize will be eligible for the grand prize drawing.
