Old Bridge Library Presents Free Concert

The Old Bridge Public Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will present guitarist Anton DelForno in concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7. DelForno will perform a mix of original compositions and classical favorites, and will speak about his life long passion for the guitar. Admission to the concert is free of charge. Tai Chi for Everyone - Old Bridge Library

Monday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tai chi, the basis of martial arts, provides multiple health benefits including stress relief, improved balance and relaxation. Join us for a beginners class and introduction to tai chi by a certified tai chi instructor, Anne DeGennaro. All ages are welcome, wear comfortable clothes.

Old Bridge Library - New Video Game Collection

The Old Bridge Public Library is launching its video game collection, expanding the Library’s entertainment offerings along with its music and movie collections. The video games will be housed with the video game guides in their location, to the right of the Circulation Desk. What should you know? Video games will have seven day check outs, with a charge of one dollar per game. Video games with a red call number are rated “M for Mature” and cannot be checked by children. Red labeled video games can only be checked out only by teen or adult cards. Hot new titles to be added to the library’s collection shortly include Assassins’ Creed III, Borderlands II, Call of Duty: Black Opps II; Halo 4 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

Old Bridge Library - Cut the Clutter!

Organizing expert and best-selling author Jamie Novak will offer a program titled “Cut the Clutter and Store the Stuff” 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. The workshop, designed to be humorous and informative, will be followed by a question and-answer session. Novak will sign her latest book, “Stop Throwing Money Away: Turn Clutter to Cash. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Old Bridge Public Library. Admission is free of charge. The public is welcome. Registration is not required.

Old Bridge Library - Free Movies!

The Library will present free screenings of Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows on Wednesday August 8 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, August 10 at 1:30 p.m. Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty. This film is rated PG-13 and runs 129 minutes.
