Turning the Tides for Children and Families

Tue, June 24, 12pm – 1pm Presented by Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare Services, Turning the Tides is a program targeting youth in grades K-12. It promotes healing and increases resiliency among youth and families. It will equip children with the skills and knowledge necessary to recover from the effect of Super Storm Sandy. Music, movement, storytelling and other techniques are used to increase a sense of safety, self-esteem and hope. This program meets on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12pm and runs from Tuesday June 24 through Tuesday August 5. You must be able to attend all sessions to participate. Registration begins June 1. Idea Farm Workshop and Grand Opening

Saturday, June 7 from 1:00 - 3:-00 p.m. 3D printing, gardening, robotics and more! If you can dream it, you can make it! The Old Bridge Library proudly announces The Idea Farm Maker-Space and demonstration garden. This launch event will be your first chance to sign up for classes and view the tools, technologies and workspace available within the Idea Farm. Donate to the Idea Farm!

The Library needs your stuff, please help our community maker space grow!  The library’s Idea Farm will include programs and resources for sewing and other handcrafts. We’re looking for donations for things like: Fabric Fleece Thread Bits and bobs (needles, pins, etc) Drop donations at the Information or Youth Services Desks! Spring Delight: Getting Your Garden Ready

Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Old Bridge Library will hold their annual Books and More sale at the Central Branch Library. Items available will be books for all ages, magazines, comics, graphic novels, music CD’s, audio books on CD, and DVD’s. All sales are final, and proceeds go to fund the Library’s collection and programming.
