Upcoming Programs at the Central Library

On Tuesday, June 15 at at 7:00 p.m.,at The Old Bridge Public Library's Central Branch. Enjoy an hour of yoga with Michaela Horvathova that includes 50 minutes of Asana (physical postures) and 10 minutes of relaxation. Pamper yourself to a life impacting exercise which improves your health and longevity. Bring a yoga mat and water, and wear comfortable clothes. This event is open to any adult, no matter what body type, fitness level or ability. This program is FREE and open to the public. No registration required. Pete Trabucco, author of “America’s Top Roller Coasters and Amusement Parks” will give a talk at the Old Bridge Public Library on Saturday, June 12th at 1:30m. A book signing will immediately follow. Roller coaster enthusiast Pete Trabucco takes the reader behind the scenes to the best amusement parks and roller coasters on the planet. With over 300 top roller coasters ridden around the country, he has many a story to tell about roller coasters and their history. This program is FREE and open to the public. On June 4th at 6:30 p.m. the Library will present a First Fridays Performance. The talented duo of pianist Charles Castorina & vocalist Betty Rose will perform a variety of popular American standards, Broadway tunes, & Holiday favorites. This program is free & open to the public, and snacks will be provided at intermission.

Join us at the Old Bridge Public Library, Central Branch for a lively presentation on New Jersey shipwrecks to be given by Dan Lieb, president of the New Jersey Historical Divers Association. This fascinating program will be held on Wednesday, June 30th at 7:30 p.m. Dan Lieb has identified eight wrecks off the New Jersey coast and he has appeared on the History Channel’s program Deep Sea Detectives which featured two of the oldest known sunken locomotives. Dan has participated in dozens of archaeological investigations on wreck sites in and out of New Jersey. Don’t miss this first hand account of identifying shipwrecks that lay off our beaches and the maritime history that Dan has brought to light.
