First meeting of the Adult Chess Club at the Old Bridge Public Library. The Old Bridge Public Library is seeking adult chess players who would like to play at the Library. Become a Literacy Tutor at the Library
The Old Bridge Library is pleased to welcome special guest, Bee Haydu, former test and utility pilot of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) during World War II! Ms. Haydu will present a dynamic program on her life experiences at the central branch of the Old Bridge Library on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Ms. Haydu was one of a select group of young women pilots who became pioneers, heroes and role models. This group of women, the WASP, were the first women in history trained to fly American military aircraft.
To honor Memorial Day, both branches of the Old Bridge Public Library will be closed Sunday May 24 and Monday May 25.
Join us for the next First Friday Event on June 5th at 6:30 p.m. featuring the Soorya Indian Dancers. Come see Classical and modern Indian dancing group from Woodbridge, NJ. Soorya Dance Company will perform Kathak and Bharathanatyam styles of dance. Carnatic music accompanies the dance movements.
Musical expert Catherine Sprague presented a program on the life and music Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Library this afternoon.
