Do you like the classic board games like chess and Scrabble? Well, the Library has you covered with two new clubs. The Library’s Scrabble Club meets every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. for informal and fun games. Players of all abilities are welcome to attend and enjoy a relaxing game in a non-competitive environment. The Library’s Adult Chess Club (the youth services department has their own club) meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for two hours of play. There is no need to register for either or these groups, just drop in and join the fun. If you do happen to have an extra chess or Scrabble set to bring to the group meeting, that would be a big help as well, but is not necessary. For more information about the Adult Chess Club, please contact Librarian Lynn Sacs at the Information Desk, (732) 721-5600 ext. 5033 or e-mail. For more information on the Scrabble Club, please contact Librarian Anita Roik at the above number or e-mail. Make sure to explore the library’s book collection as well for chess and Scrabble strategy guide that can help you polish up your skills. It’s your move!
