February Book Discussions

Monday, February 8 @ 7:00 p.m. The Girls Night Out Book Discussion Group will review The Faith Club: a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew—Three Women Search for Understanding. Traces how three American women of different faiths worked together to understand one another while identifying the connections between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, during which they openly discussed the issues that divided them.

Thursday February 18th at 7:00 p.m., The Original Book Discussion Group will be discussing the March of Folly by Barbara Tuchman. Examines the irrationalities of governments through analysis of four crises of history--the fall of Troy, the Renaissance popes' own provocation of the Protestant secession, Britain's loss of the American colonies, and America's involvement in Vietnam.

Thursday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m., The Science Fiction Book Discussion Group will be discussing Stories Of Your Life And Other Stories by Ted Chiang. Presents a first collection of seven science fiction short stories, and includes an original tale, "Liking What You See: A Documentary" for this anthology.
